Mum spots naked sex offender in view of her five-year-old daughter
A mUm has told of her horror after a convicted sex offender stood naked on his balcony in front of her young daughter. Kerry Rafferty, 24, was getting her five-yearold ready for school at their home in Lochgelly, Fife, when she saw the man out of the corner of her eye. She rushed her child – who was undressed at the time – out of the room and took pictures of David Scott-Wilson before calling the police. The 69-year-old pervert admitted a public indecency offence at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Thursday. He was jailed for 36 days but had already served the sentence while on remand.
He was sent back to prison to finish his sentence for a different crime for which he had been released early.
Kerry told of her horror at seeing the naked pervert.
She said: “I turned away to begin with but when I turned round it, looked like he was touching himself.
“I grabbed my daughter and I pulled her out of the living room. I ran into my bedroom which looks out over his property and I could see what he was doing so I started taking pictures.
“I called the police. He was still on the balcony while I was on the phone.
“Eventually he bent down and pulled his pants up.”
She added: “He’s obviously going to reoffend. You can’t rehabilitate someone like him. What if he’s been watching my daughter for a long time?
“She should be able to get fully undressed without having to worry that someone is watching her.”
