Boss Neil: Hibs can have the last laugh

-

From Back Page and also of being disrespectful to both Motherwell and Hibs.

The Easter Road club tweeted their own humorous response by reversing the fonts and putting Hibs’ name in huge letters.

But Lennon is used to being written off and recalls how ITV tweeted: “Bye-Bye Celtic” when they were drawn alongside Barcelona, Benfica and Spartak Moscow in the 2011 Champions League.

His Celtic side responded by reaching the last 16 and the Hibs gaffer now plans to prove a point to BT too.

Lennon said: “‘I did see the advert, yes. What do I think of it? Nothing much really.

“It’s much ado about nothing. It’s a bit naughty but they have apologised for it so we will leave it at that.

“It won’t really serve as an added incentive, not really, not something like that.

“I only became aware of it this morning and didn’t bat an eyelid really.

“There are two other teams in the semi-finals.

“Going into the semis, the general expectation will be that it will be an Old Firm final.

“Myself and Stephen Robinson will want to have a say in that.

“It hasn’t irked me or anything like that.

“The club response was funny. They responded in the right way with a bit of humour. And BT have apologised for it.

“I’ve had it myself at Celtic when a Champions League draw was made and somebody tweeted: ‘Bye-bye Celtic.’

“We got to the last 16. I took great satisfaction in that. It was ITV. I have a long memory.”
