Millions won’t make me financial big hitter

-

ANTHONY JOSHUA earned around £15million for his epic win over Wladimir Klitschko. And he could pocket the same against Carlos Takam on Saturday.

But the undefeated world heavyweight champ says he wouldn’t change even if he earned £300m.

Joshua says the only thing he has bought since the Klitschko fight is a new home for the family and even that won’t be ready for another 18 months.

The 28-year-old insists his simple lifestyle won’t change and he spends time with his family when he isn’t hidden away in his Sheffield training camp.

Joshua said: “I don’t need a lot and if I were to fight for £300m I don’t think it would change me or my lifestyle. I know what I need to get through my day. The most extravagant thing I do is help people.”

Joshua is renovating his new house near Whetstone in his native Hertfordshire with his uncle for all of the family to enjoy.

He said: “I see it as a family house for the immediate family. Everyone will come for Christmas and birthdays. There’s work that needs to be done so we’ve not moved in.” Part of the reason why Joshua has not gone bling crazy over the last six months is because companies are falling over themselves to give him freebies.

He said: “The best thing I’ve been given is my watch, my AP Audemars Piguet watch. It’s a bad boy! It would have cost £350,000. When I first saw it I was blown away.”
