HEARTS have had to postpone their Tynecastle “homecoming” for a second time this season.
The Jambos initially planned to move back in September but have been hit by severe delays during ongoing redevelopment work of the main stand.
And yesterday they announced they have now switched their Premiership game against Kilmarnock on Sunday, November 5 to Murrayfield.
They remain hopeful of returning to Tynie in time for their Premiership match against Partick Thistle on November 19.
In a statement owner Ann Budge said: “Following a period of fairly intense speculation over the past few weeks I can now confirm the board has decided to take further advantage of our contingency arrangements with the SRU to play our ‘home’ fixture against Kilmarnock on Sunday, November 5 at Murrayfield.
“These arrangements have been confirmed with all parties involved. We have therefore decided to take advantage of the opportunity open to us to call on our contingency arrangements for this fixture thereby giving us more time to robustly test out all of our new facilities.
“One of our key objectives is to ensure our first game back at Tynecastle runs smoothly and provides supporters with the best possible match-day experience.
“Thank you all for your fantastic support. Please keep it up. We will be home soon!”
