PEDRO’S BOTTLERS

-

From Back Page the players who flopped at Hampden to show they are up to the challenge of wearing the Rangers jersey by making amends in tomorrow’s Premiership clash with Kilmarnock.

Keeper Jak Alnwick and Fabio Cardoso are both ruled out with injury but the others will be handed the opportunity to redeem themselves.

Caixinha signed eight of the starting 11 against the Steelmen.

And he has warned them it’s time they repaid him on the park.

The Gers boss said: “I’ve told the players, ‘You are embarrassing me, you’re embarrassing our club, you are embarrassing our fans’.

“Now it time for them to react and I’m glad we’re playing on Wednesday. These players play for this club, for this badge.

“These players play for me. Are they behind me? That’s what they need to show. If they are in a semi-final and they play like that then something is wrong.

“Now they need to prove themselves.

“I can’t count on Jak for Wednesday because he felt a contusion on his arm and you have seen Fabio’s face so I can’t count on him.

“But the others who started will play. I’m giving the line-up for Kilmarnock, I have no problem. I just want my players to understand my feelings.

“We were ashamed about what happened on Sunday and I want them to react properly.

“I have been asked about not winning three games in a row. The pattern is there. The third game is usually a key game, like an Old Firm game or semi final.”

Caixinha dismissed the huge pressure now mounting on him.

He said: “People talk about pressure. Pressure is someone who by the end of the month has no money to pay the bills or feed his family and give them education.

“Thank God I’m not in those conditions. If I have one day like that I will feel under pressure.

“But playing in front of your fans in a semi-final or key fixture needs to be something that creates passion to enjoy it.”
