THE husband of a missing woman is travelling to a London toy shop where he hopes to find her.

Jock Brown is urging his 47-year-old wife Karen to meet him at Hamleys, where there has been a possible sighting of her.

He said the family are “extremely worried” about Karen, who left home in Clydebank in the early hours of Saturday, October 14.

She was last seen by her husband and daughter Chloe on the Friday night when she returned from work at Asda.

She went to bed after a brief conversation but by the time Jock woke on Saturday morning, she was gone.

CCTV showed her boarding a bus from Glasgow to London at 8.20am that day and there was a potential sighting of her at Hamleys in London on Tuesday, October 17.

Jock, 48, said: “The family are desperate to find out that she is safe and well.

“I will be at Hamleys in Regent Street between 12 noon and 1pm on Saturday and I’m urging Karen to meet me there.

“We all love you and are missing you terribly. We just want you to come back home but if you are not ready to do this, please let police know you are safe.”

Last week, Jock said his wife was a “bit of a worrier” and had recently become a grandmother for the first time but he could not explain her disappearance.

Karen is described as white, 5ft 6ins and of medium build, with collarlength brown hair.

When last seen, she was wearing a pink fleece top, white trainers and was carrying an Asda bag. The woman seen on CCTV in London was wearing the same clothing but also had a burgundy padded jacket.

Inspector David Quinn said: “Anyone with information that will help our inquiry should contact Clydebank Police Station on 101, quoting reference number 3818 of October 14.”
