POLICE PERVERT GROPED TWO WOMEN
A POLICE sergeant has been found guilty of five sex assaults on two married women.
Allan Ross, 47, a married father of three, met the women at a birthday party in November, Ayr Sheriff Court was told.
He groped one of them in the back of a car as he shared a lift home after that event.
After that, the three chatted on a private messaging group they set up called “Two chicks and a d**k”.
And Ross, from Maybole, Ayrshire, went on to sexually assault both of the women when they met during a Christmas night out in Fury’s nightclub in Ayr.
Describing how the trio met at the 50th birthday bash in Troon on November 15, Ross told the court one woman borrowed his phone to set up the Whatsapp group.
He said: “The first message from her said, ‘Welcome to Bangkok.’”
At the end of the evening, he shared a lift home with them and one of their husbands. In the back seat of the car, he touched one woman’s breast.
The court heard that he felt both of the women’s breasts in Fury’s.
Describing how he encountered the pair at the nightspot, Ross said: “They came running in with their arms open wide.” He said he cuddled them back.
Defence QC Gordon Jackson asked Ross if he cupped one of the women’s breasts with his hand at the time. Ross replied: “No way.” He said her friend then touched him on the chest and he felt her back. He also pressed against her while she talked to someone in a booth.
Ross insisted the charges were lies and he believed one of the women’s husbands was jealous of him. Ross will be sentenced later. Chief Supt Paul Main said: “As soon as the incident was reported, an investigation was swiftly launched and the officer was removed from operational duties.”
