We won’t be bullied again says Hastings

- RODDY DUNCAN sport@dailyrecord.co.uk

ADAM HASTINGS has vowed to help Glasgow slap down Leinster’s bully boys at long last.

The Dubliners have had a stranglehold on the Warriors over the past two years but the fired-up fly half is convinced the tide will turn at Scotstoun tomorrow.

The sides clash less than a month after the Irish giants came out on top in the Champions Cup and now they go head-to-head again on Pro14 business.

Hastings said: “They bullied us a few weeks ago but there are boys in our squad out to right wrongs.”

Hastings insists Glasgow won’t alter their attack-from-anywhere policy.

He said: “Coach Dave Rennie wants us to do that any time we can.

“No matter where we are on the pitch, we will pick our moment and have a crack.”

Hastings, son of former Lions and Scotland hero Gavin, is happy to be back after recovering from a thigh gash.

He said: “It was frustrating being out for five weeks after making my competitive debut for the Warriors.”

Meanwhile, old head Neil Cochrane is adamant Edinburgh will step up their stunning recovery by shooting down the Ospreys.

They clash at Myreside on Saturday with the Gunners determined to claim their fifth win on the trot.

Cochrane and Co are on a roll – both in Europe and in the Pro14.

And happy hooker Cochrane said: “We take matches in blocks of five and it would be fantastic to come away with 100 per cent in this one.”

Gunners will be without some key men, who are absent on Scotland duty but he said: “The Ospreys are in the same boat with their Welsh guys.”
