HOLLYWOOD star Kevin Spacey is being investigated by British police over an alleged sexual assault.

It is understood officers from the Met Police’s child abuse and sexual offences command are looking into claims the House of Cards actor sexually assaulted a man in London in 2008.

The force declined to identify the alleged attacker but said in a statement: “It is alleged a man assaulted another man in 2008 in Lambeth.”

Spacey, 58, was artistic director of London’s esteemed Old Vic theatre from 2004 to 2015.

Last week, Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp claimed Spacey had placed him on a bed and climbed on top of him after a party at his New York apartment in 1986.

At the time, Rapp was only 14.

Following Rapp’s allegation in a BuzzFeed interview, Spacey said in a post on Twitter he did not remember the alleged incident and announced he is living as a gay man.

Production of the sixth series of House of Cards has now been suspended.

Netflix had already announced the series would be the last – and said the decision predated the scandal.

Meanwhile, Spacey’s talent agency, CAA, are reported to be no longer representing the actor amid growing claims of sexual harassment.

On Wednesday, Spacey’s representative said the actor was “taking the time necessary to seek evaluation and treatment” in light of the allegations.
