Cruise ship has Edge
ONE of the biggest announcements this year in the world of cruising was Celebrity Edge, the new ship from Celebrity Cruises.
The vessel is state-of-the-art and boasts several innovative new features.
One of its stand-out attractions is the Magic Carpet – the world’s first cantilevered, floating platform that reaches heights of 13 storeys above sea level.
Guests can also explore The Rooftop Garden (and stop for a bite to eat in the Rooftop Garden Grill) and Eden, a dynamic entertainment and dining venue with great views of the ocean.
Guests who are looking for something even more special can also book into an Eden Villa. These two-storey suites boast 950 square feet of space and their own private plunge pool.
There are only six villas on board and all of them include direct access to The Retreat, an area solely reserved for those staying in suites, complete with restaurant, lounge, sundeck and pool.
There are also two luxurious Iconic suites on board that will allow guests to share the same view as the captain.
Passengers staying in an Outside Stateroom will enjoy the Infinite Verandas. Created by London-based designer Kelly Hoppen, these cabins incorporate the balcony into your stateroom through the clever use of bi-fold doors.
Due to set sail in December 2018, planned itineraries include the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.
One of its 2019 Mediterranean sailings is due to leave from Southampton, providing convenient access for British cruisers.
This UK sailing is a 10-Night Iberian Peninsula Cruise.
After leaving Southampton, you’ll stop by some of Spain and Portugal’s most beautiful posts including Bilbao, La Coruna, Lisbon, Gibraltar, and Palma.
You’ll also end the cruise in the Italian city of Rome.
All of its Caribbean sailings will be leaving from Fort Lauderdale.
