Our loyal army of readers donated a staggering £4million in 1996 to create Scotland’s first hospice for children – Rachel House in Kinross.

Today, we reveal how a Record-backed campaign to bring more clinical trials to Scotland for children with cancer and blood disorders has raised more than £800,000.

When we launched the campaign with Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity six months ago, the hope was to raise £500,000. That target has been well and truly smashed. We couldn’t have done it without you.
