SNP facing build crisis
THE SNP Government face missing their house-building target.
Nicola Sturgeon’s administration pledged to build 50,000 affordable homes, 35,000 of which will be for social rent, between 2016/17 and 2020/21.
But the average number built each financial quarter is 1808 – much lower than the 2673 needed.
An average of 2850 will have to be built each quarter in order to meet the 35,000 target for social rent.
