LAYLA’SSTORY
TODDLER Layla Greene is suffering from stage four neuroblastoma and could one day rely on a trial provided by the appeal.
Just weeks before her diagnosis in March, the two-year-old, from Renfrew, was running wild listening to Justin Bieber.
Now, the cancer is in her kidney, liver, bones, brain and back.
After eight rounds of chemotherapy, Layla has now undergone a bone marrow transplant and is recovering in hospital. Her family say her life may depend on a clinical trial if treatment doesn’t work. Mum Louise said: “If this appeal doesn’t help Layla, it can help another child in the same situation.”
