GLASGOW CITY beat Hibs 3-0 at Ainslie Park yesterday to clinch the SWPL title for the 11th consecutive season.
City blitzed their title rivals with all the goals coming in the first half hour from Lauren McMurchie, Abbi Grant and Hayley Lauder.
Proud gaffer Scott Booth said: “To win 11 in a row is unbelievable, it will never be done again. And for Leanne Ross to have done it every time is amazing.”
Hibs will get a chance for revenge when the sides meet in the Scottish Cup Final in two weeks’ time.
Celtic won the Old Firm derby with a 5-1 rout of Rangers to seal a third-placed finish. Natalie Ross and Sarah Ewens both bagged doubles for the Hoops with Kirsty Howat also on target.
Lauren Davidson replied for the Light Blues.
Aberdeen were relegated after a 4-2 defeat at Stirling University and Hamilton went down to a 3-0 home defeat against Spartans.
