60,000 join campaign for Shaun justice
ALMOST 60,000 people have now signed a petition demanding justice for Shaun Woodburn.
The dad of one, 30, was killed by a teenager as he celebrated New Year with friends in Edinburgh.
But the 17-year-old thug who attacked him outside Gladstone’s pub in Leith only got four years’ detention.
Shaun’s dad Kevin was disgusted and started a campaign demanding a tougher sentence for the killer, who could be out in two years.
Kevin said the term did not represent justice and was an insult to his son.
Now, the campaign has gone worldwide, with thousands clamouring to sign the petition.
The Crown Office, who have the right to appeal “unduly lenient” verdicts, say they will look at the case
