EACH to their own, I suppose, and Jo Brand is a self-confessed cat fanatic.

She no doubt stuck her hand up pretty quickly for this job – a series which appears to be the moggie version of Paul O’Grady’s For the Love of Dogs.

Jo follows the vets, RSPCA inspectors and volunteers who work hard to protect the nation’s felines, as well as watching surgery at animal hospitals and looking into the science and behaviours behind cats.

Watch out for the rescue of poor Lola, who has been stuck up a chimney for four days. And curiosity very nearly did kill one kitten, who wandered off and fell four floors from a balcony.

If you’re cat-crazy, you’ll love this. If not, best take your dog out for a walk.
