FOOTBALL fans have rallied around Liam Miller after it emerged the former Celtic star is battling cancer. Well-wishers have taken to social media to back the Republic of Ireland internatio­nal in his fight against the disease.

Miller, 36, made 44 appearance­s for Celtic and also played for Man United and Hibs.

Online readers expressed shock and showed support.

Seamus Lee posted on our Facebook page: “Scary stuff, he should be finishing his career now and enjoying his retirement. Absolutely terrible.”
