EUAN McLEAN ANSWERS YOUR CALLS THERE’S not a shred of support that could excuse Falkirk’s Kevin O’Hara for his disgusting comments towards Dean Shiels.

But some callers question the severity of the eight-game ban imposed on the boorish Bairn, while offences that cause physical damage are treated with more leniency.

It’s a debate set to rumble on for at least another week with O’Hara’s team-mate Joe McKee facing a Hampden hearing on the same charge – while some idiotic Falkirk fans further inflamed the situation last weekend by singing sick songs mocking Dunfermline star Shiels’ disability.

The combined result is that relations between these two sworn local rivals are the worst that many fans can remember and some called the to urge both clubs to unite to ease the situation.

said: “I’ve watched Falkirk for over 50 years and I’ve never seen anything like the tension that exists between our club and Dunfermline just now. Something is going to have to be done before they next meet on January 2 because it’s going to be powderkeg stuff if the sting isn’t taken out of this feud.

“Both clubs need to come up with a plan to work together to take away the bitterness.”

said: “Not for one second do I condone what O’Hara said to Shiels. But when you see what happened in the Motherwell v Rangers semi-final when Ryan Bowman can burst a guy’s face with his elbow and not even be punished on video review, you need to question the SFA’s priorities.

“It baffles me how Bowman can inflict that kind of damage and go unpunished, then a 19-year-old stupid boy says something out of order and he’s hammered, on his first offence, with an eight-game ban. The SFA need to get a grip because their reaction is playing a part in stoking the flames for the New Year game.”

One group who certainly deserve to feel a burning
