Lennon’s passion wins him Clyde job
DANNY LENNON’S passion convinced Clyde directors he is the man to haul them out of the doldrums.
The ex-St Mirren manager’s return to the dugout was confirmed by the League Two strugglers last night.
Lennon took St Mirren to a League Cup trophy win in 2013 but was ditched the following year.
He had a spell managing Alloa and briefly served as caretaker boss at Airdrie.
Now Clyde chairman Norrie Innes has hailed the 48-year-old’s return.
Innes said: “Danny has a very impressive record and a substantial skill set which is what we need to develop a stronger footballing structure and positive culture within the club.
“He spoke with passion and intelligence and welcomes the challenges ahead.” WATFORD have issued a hands-off warning to Everton after they made an approach for boss Marco Silva.
The Toffees made contact with Watford yesterday morning.
But sources at Vicarage Road insist owner Gino Pozzo has “absolutely no interest” in entertaining any bids for 40-year-old Silva.
