CELTIC star Mikael Lustig’s car has been stolen – with all his family’s Christmas presents inside.

Lustig’s wife Josefin has spoken of her shock over the theft after the vehicle was nicked while it was parked outside their Glasgow home.

Josefin, 28, said they had noticed the car was missing when the Parkhead defender went outside with their shih tzu Geisha on Tuesday morning.

Speaking about their ordeal in her blog, the Swedish model said: “The day didn’t really start as a normal day.

“Mikael was taking Geisha out in the morning and he realised that our car is gone.

“Panic! Someone actually stole our car.”

She said it came as a shock and they’ve now beefed up their security.

Josefin said: “We don’t have CCTV in the new house but I’ve always felt so safe here.

“Of all places we’ve stayed in Glasgow, this is the place I’ve felt most safe in.

“I’m alone a lot and it’s never been any problems for me in this house. That’s changed a bit now. But we have set up security now! So I’ll be fine.”

She praised local residents who came to their aid.

Josefin, mum to Lucia and Lexie, added: “I’m so grateful for all our neighbours. The best help when you really need it.”

The Celtic WAG said she has alerted the police and as her kids’ gifts were in the car when it was nicked, she is now facing the prospect of having to start her Christmas shopping from scratch.

She said: “Police have been here and they have found the car.

“We had done some Christmas shopping the other day and the kids’ presents were still in the car. They are gone now.

“I was so happy we had actually done it all in time for once. I have to start over now.”

She added: “I do hope that those toys will make another kid happy this Christmas.

“So incredibly sad that people can’t let other people’s things be!”

Josefin, who married Lustig in 2013, revealed recently she’d gone back to a full-on exercise regime after suffering depression last year.

She’s now studying to become a fitness instructor.

A police spokesman said they were unable to confirm that the incident had been reported to them.
