The main storyline follows the on-off relationsh­ip between Miranda, right, and Gary (Tom Ellis), as Miranda tries to move on after their most recent break-up.

Her mother Penny (the wonderful Patricia Hodge) tries to find another groom, but Miranda is not impressed. Will she find happiness and contentmen­t without Gary?
