Rabgets feudwith Bomber backon
RAB DOUGLAS has reignited his war of words with John Brown after claiming the tape recording he has of their explosive meeting may humiliate his ex-Dundee boss.
The pair had a public falling out when Steve Simonsen replaced Douglas as No.1 on Tayside in 2013, which the keeper says he was informed of five minutes before the signing was even made public.
The former Celtic star spoke out at the time but that was just the start of it.
Brown responded by exclusively telling Record Sport Douglas was a “disrespectful liar”.
In an explosive interview, the Rangers legend refused to hold back and even warned off potential suitors over signing Douglas.
Now the ex-goalie has hit back more than four years later. He says there are two sides to every story – and has vowed to reveal in his autobiography exactly what Brown said to him.
Douglas said: “There’s only one winner and that’s the manager. But there’s a bit more to it and he had his say so I’ll have mine soon.”
The 45-year-old admitted he may have crossed the line with some of the language he used in the confrontation.
He added: “Probably after he told me to get my stuff and go, yes.”
When asked how the transcriptions will make Brown look, Douglas said: “It will be slightly embarrassing for him.”
