WIN WILL GIVE BAIRNS A LIFT

- TEAMSHEET

MARK KERR insists Falkirk’s clash with Brechin can be a corner-turning moment as they bid to move clear of Championship trouble.

The second-bottom Bairns are without a win in seven games but the experienced midfielder is adamant the festive period can trigger a reversal of fortunes.

Kerr said: “We know our form hasn’t been good enough. With the talent we have in our squad we should be much higher up the table. But only hard work will transform things.

“We believe if we can get a result against Brechin it will be a platform to build on.

“We then have Livingston on Tuesday night and next weekend it’s Dumbarton so we need to start claiming some wins to change the picture.”

Darren Dods reckons this game is a great chance to close the six-point gap on the Bairns.

The Brechin boss said: “I don’t think it’s a must-win game. It’s still early days.

“If we don’t it will make it harder for us to try to pull other teams into the mix. But if we keep playing at the standard we can then the win will come.” ALLOA welcome Arbroath minus the injured Frank McKeown, Darryl Meggatt, Thomas Grant and Declan McDonald.
