Vicky, 48, goes for a walk with her dog Missey each morning and is joined by the same bird at her local nature reserve.

The tame creature swoops down and sits eating its breakfast for minutes at a time in scenes reminiscen­t of a Disney film.

Swimming instructor Vicky, from Chilwell, Nottingham­shire, said she first noticed the robin a few months ago and started whistling to it.

She said: “He started to chirp back, like he was talking to me.

“The next day I took some bird seed and he swooped down and sat on my palm pecking away.

“It was like something from Snow White. I know it’s the same one as he has a distinctiv­e flat head.

“It’s really a beautiful experience – especially so close to Christmas as it makes you feel very festive.”

Vicky said her friends and family jokingly call her “bird woman” as she has also befriended a crow on her walking route.

And she has bought a budgie called Kitty.

But she admitted: “I can’t get Kitty to eat off my hand at all.”
