JAPES Miranda keeps Christmas celebrations going strong MIRANDA DOES CHRISTMAS

C4, 9pm “WELL, hello-ho-ho” shouts Miranda Hart. Antlers on, mistletoe in place, roaring log fire, David Tennant in a stylish Christmas jumper. What’s not to love? SUCH FUN.

Prue Leith is in a red Fairisle cardie and there’s also a newly sequinned Susan Calman – Strictly did wonders for her bling. There’s a bit of festive snogging and a tree with sparkling lights, plus mince pies, chocolates and plenty of cheer.

Miranda is going to get to the bottom of Christmas.

OK, it’s all a little late, since Christmas is over but hey, we’re not grumbling. In this one-off special, Miranda wants to show us how to make the season as fun as it used to be.

She even hits the streets to spread some “jollity” among shoppers.

This involves tucking herself into a display bed and doing the Conga in a bookshop.

She also rewards some good deeds and plays Cupid.

There’s a quiz: “Why is it called mincemeat when it’s just soggy sultanas?” Good question.

Plus carol singing with a special guest star, a gospel choir performing a unique Christmas mash-up, and a spectacular version of a Destiny’s Child classic.

Bear with it, it’s a festive treat!
