Insult to injury for Murray
ANDY MURRAY limped to defeat against Roberto Bautista Agut in his Abu Dhabi comeback match.
The Scot, working his way back from hip problems, was beaten 6-2 by the Spaniard in the one-set World Tennis Championship exhibition match.
Although Murray was encouraged by his display, it raises serious questions over the 30-year-old’s fitness ahead of his comeback tournament, the Australian Open, next month.
He said: “Roberto is one of the best players in the world and when you haven’t competed for a long while it takes time to get up to that pace. I started to feel a bit better towards the end but I’ll need to keep improving.”
