Robbers attacked jail staff
TWO notorious armed robbers jailed for a £230,000 jewellery heist yesterday admitted attacking prison officers.
Jason Yendall, 32, and Aaron Brannan, 26, attacked staff in HMP Shotts in Lanarkshire after they had tried to break up a fight involving the pair, Hamilton Sheriff Court was told.
Yendall seized guard Steven Elliot and violently struggled with him, while Brannan repeatedly punched Paul Pritchard on his head and body.
The pair, doing time for a robbery in Glasgow’s Argyle Arcade in 2014, were taken back to their cells, still threatening the staff they would be getting “done in”.
