Emojis are not a love symbol
ROMANTIC fiction publishers Mills & Boon have launched a guide to modern romance – with dos and don’ts of love in the digital age.
Their love experts urged readers to “use emojis wisely” and added: “There’s nothing romantic about a digital prawn, aubergine or the one of the guy sword fighting.”
They added: “FaceTime can be fun but remember a camera sees more than just you, so tidy that room.”
Mills & Boon also warned about using email, saying: “There’s nothing worse than an Outlook calendar invite to your date.”
Lisa Milton, executive publisher of Mills & Boon, said: “With so many people either worried or confused about romance in the modern era, it is clear they need a little help with affairs of the heart.
“Notions of romance have changed but many age-old gestures remain the epitome of romance.”
