The Loose Women star is a champion of real women’s bodies and has spoken about her fears for her sons – Zachary, nine, and five-year-old Leighton.
She said: “My nine-year-old has already said to me, ‘When am I old enough to go to the gym? Do I have a six-pack?’ Why is he asking these questions? Because even superheroes that kids idolise are fully ripped. So kids think, ‘Oh, I don’t look like that’. It’s so scary. I have to have conversations with them.”
Stacey, whose partner is former EastEnders actor Joe Swash, recently posted a video from her holiday where she turned the tables on body-shaming critics.
In the clip, she shows the camera three things she loves about her body – her “muffin top”, her “saggy boobs” and her “stretch marks”.
Stacey, who was trolled after posting the video, added: “When I first got trolled, it made me feel sad about myself. I felt like, ‘Oh, maybe I should change?’
“But they are pointing out things I’m already aware of – that my boobs are saggy, that I have a big nose.
“As time goes on, I just feel sorry for my trolls.”
She also urged her followers to know they were all “perfectly imperfect and unique and beautiful”.
