HARRY Potter fans now have the chance to live like the boy wizard – in a luxury apartment dedicated to him.

The opulent accommodation has fittingly opened in Edinburgh, where author JK Rowling created her best-selling books.

It features a master bedroom with a Gryffindor dormitory theme and a second double room decked out like a carriage on the Hogwarts Express.

Superfan Yue Gao, who created the apartment overlooking the Royal Mile, said: “There is such a strong connection between Harry Potter and Edinburgh and this house is part of that.

“It opens up all those memories of seeing the films for people – it’s beautiful, extravagant and elaborate.”

As well as the Potter magic, the flat is equipped with all mod cons, including gaming devices.

Yue took seven months to put her Potter home together and even managed to find some furniture which had belonged to Rowling, including a desk.

She said: “I didn’t want to turn the flat into a cheap copy of the film, so it’s more like an homage from a huge fan rather than the copy of the movie scene.

“I put my heart into it – it’s my dream realised.”

The cost of renting the Canongate Luxury Apartment is about £150 a night.
