2 test bid to beat strokes
ADDING a blood test alongside a brain scan could help pinpoint the cause of one of the deadliest forms of stroke, research suggests.
Scientists found that combining both could provide key genetic information that may help identify those most at risk from a second stroke.
University of Edinburgh experts say the approach could revolutionise the way doctors manage strokes caused by bleeding in the brain, which accounts for up to 50 per cent of all strokes worldwide.
