Big Ben ready to battle bruisers

- DAVID KELSO

BEN TOOLIS insists Edinburgh won’t be bullied out of Euro glory by the bruisers of Paris.

The Gunners entertain Stade Francais tomorrow knowing a win will ensure top place in their Challenge Cup pool.

And big Ben feels they are capable of preserving their 100 per cent tournament record.

The Scotland lineout specialist said: “Stade have some huge men and people expect our scrum to be put under massive pressure.

“But we have been working on the set-piece and believe in our props.

“We have confidence in each other and every one of us will step up to the mark.

“A week ago we were up against some very big forwards in the Southern Kings side and it was us who put the pressure on them.”

Toolis will also use the Stade double-header to show he should be in Scotland’s line-up for the Six Nations opener in Wales next month.

He said: “I want to be involved here and in Paris next week. I know there are protocols for resting players but I aim to keep going until I am told to chill out.”
