I need surgery to make my 32K boobs smaller

Jasmin, 20, says they add to pain of bone disease

A YOUNG woman with a rare bone disease has set up an online appeal to fund a breast reduction.

Jasmin Vlassi, 20, says her over-sized breasts add to the pain of her condition, which is similar to that of arthritis.

And she has started her funding campaign to have a £7000 reduction privately after being refused surgery on the NHS.

The customer service adviser, from Stonehouse in Lanarkshire, says she has been “overwhelmed” by everyone’s kindness since going public with her Go Fund Me page on Wednesday.

Jasmin, who had a DD bust at the age of 13, said: “The last time I was measured, I was a 32K but I know they’ve grown since then.

“I’m holding off being measured again, as it’s not an enjoyable experience being told I’ve gone up a size. It makes me feel like crying.”

She said she first consulted doctors when she was 13. She explained: “I first went when I was 13 and was told I was still developing and to return at 16.

“I did wait, but at 14 I fell very ill and went through a long process of being diagnosed with a rare disease – chronic multifocal osteomyelitis.

“I’m told it’s a similar pain to arthritis. The statistics for getting the disease are one in a million.”

Jasmin added: “Having a large bust never really helped with the pain in my bones, as they added on to the weight. My dress sizes would fluctuate from eight to 18-20 and I can’t remember the last time I was happy with my body.

“I went to the doctors again when I was 16 and was told again I was still developing, so I returned at 18. That time, I was told to lose some weight, which was fine, but before when I’d asked, I’d been a lower dress size.”

Jasmin said her friends had been very supportive of her efforts.

She added: “I’ve actually had so many girls message me to tell me they felt insecure about their bodies.”
