NEIL LENNON fears David Gray’s season is over with the Hibs captain facing surgery on an Achilles injury.

The Easter Road boss said it was “heartbreaking” to see his skipper crumple early into yesterday’s 3-1 friendly defeat by Willem II.

The loss of Gray marred their week-long winter training camp in Portugal and the 29-year-old will fly home with the rest of the squad today wearing a protective moon boot.
