LEE MILLER insists there’s still plenty of life in the old dog yet as he vows to bang in the goals that could clinch a play-off spot for Livingston.
The 34-year-old striker agreed an 18-month deal at Livi after leaving Falkirk.
And Miller, who will line up against Dumbarton today, said: “I spoke to David Hopkin and I was impressed with the ambitions he had for the club.
“I still believe I can play at this level and score goals. I keep myself fit and my legs feel fine.
“I’m sure Livi didn’t set out this season thinking they’d be up in the play-off spots but we’re up there on merit as we work hard as a team and long may that continue.
“Dumbarton will come here buoyed by their Scottish Cup win over Peterhead in midweek as that’s a difficult place to go and win. This will be a tough game for us.”
Sons boss Steve Aitken is excited at the prospect of working with former Queen of the South attacker Iain Russell and new on-loan Partick hitman Kevin Nisbet.
He said: “Iain played his first game in months and scored a goal for us in midweek against Peterhead and showed his class.
“I’ve tried to sign Iain a couple of times before in the past. He will be a great addition to our squad as will Kevin Nisbet from Partick
“I spoke to Alan Archibald and he has high hopes for Kevin. He rates him as a decent prospect
“Both players will add goals and a creativity in attack that has possibly been missing from us in recent seasons.”
