HEARTS have released striker Cole Stockton with Carlisle set to offer the Englishman a deal.

Hearts confirmed the departure on their website saying: “Cole Stockton has today left Hearts by mutual consent in the search of regular first-team football.

“Cole joined Hearts in June of last year and made 15 appearance­s in a maroon jersey. The club would like to wish him well with his career.” RAFA BENITEZ has insisted he won’t sell Aleksandar Mitrovic to a Premier League rival.

Brighton have bid £8million for the Serb. The Toon boss will consider flogging the World Cup hopeful if Newcastle land a new striker but only to a foreign club.
