Our style expert Julie is going for bold

- scotstyleeditor

IF YOU’VE been anywhere near the shops recently, you’ll know that yellow is the colour of the season.

I always thought that I didn’t suit yellow because it made me look washed out.

But I’ve now discovered that anyone can look good in it.

It’s all about getting the right shade for your skintone. If you’re fair, mustard tones and dark yellows will work best.

Medium and olive skin tones suit really bright, vibrant shades.

If you have a dark skintone, then any variation of yellow will look amazing on you.

Switching to a bold shade can seem daunting at first, so break it in gently by mixing yellow with black, white or grey.

And if you want to make a bit of a style statement, you can even try it with bright blues and pinks.

Now that we’re almost into February, I’m getting set for Valentine’s Day and I’ll be giving my lingerie drawer a bit of an overhaul.

There are so many pretty colours and shapes around in the shops just now. You don’t have to spend a fortune to find some stunning sets.

Don’t worry, I’m not about to subject you to photos of me posing in my new undies.

But check out the latest from fab lingerie brand Janet Reger at Debenhams.

They’ve got a great range with bra sizes up to 38DD and, better still, the prices are really reasonable.
