Cove can moveup and hold their own
MITCH MEGGINSON is convinced Cove Rangers will flourish in the SPFL – if they can claim a place this season.
With the Highland League leaders on course for the League Two play-offs, the 38-goal former Aberdeen striker is determined to mark next season’s opening of the club’s new Calder Park stadium with promotion.
Megginson said: “Without being big-headed we’re a squad used to winning. We have that in-built mentality whether it’s Highland League, Scottish Cup or Irn-Bru Cup.
“We’ve beaten full-time teams like Airdrie and held our own for long spells against a Championship club like Falkirk.
“It would be a massive achievement for the club to get into the SPFL and in games we’ve played against League Two and League One sides we’ve certainly held our own.
“There is no reason why we couldn’t thrive at that level but the hardest part obviously is going to be trying to get there.” FIXTURES
