CRISIS club West Brom suffered another savage blow last night, with Daniel Sturridge facing up to another month on the sidelines.

The hitman joined on loan from Liverpool in January to help fire Alan Pardew’s Baggies to safety but could now find the club relegated before he is fit to return.

Sturridge was Pardew’s only major piece of transfer business at the Premier League basement club, who are seven points adrift.

But the England international is not expected back “imminently” due to a hamstring problem earlier this month which originally ruled him out for just two weeks.

It is a huge blow for gaffer Pardew, whose side have won just once in 14 league games under him ahead of Saturday’s crunch clash at Watford.

Albion fought off competition from Newcastle to land England ace Sturridge for a £1.5million loan fee and his £120,000-a-week wages.

But he limped off just three minutes into the 3–0 loss at Chelsea on February 12 and has played just 77 minutes for the club. He is now set to be sidelined for at least a month in total and might not be fit to start again until April, when Albion could already be down.

It will also jeopardise Sturridge’s hopes of earning a recall for England for the World Cup.

It piles on the pain for Pardew after a disastrous training camp in Barcelona, where four senior pros broke a curfew and stole a taxi.
