THE ex-boyfriend of a Scots mum who is suspected of killing her in Spain was being hunted by police last night after disappearing.

A warrant has been issued for Simon Corner, 36, who was freed on bail over the suspected murder of Lisa Brown.

It is understood he broke his bail conditions last month by failing to sign in at a Spanish police station.

Mum-of-one Lisa, 32, originally from Alexandria in Dunbartonshire, was last seen on the Costa del Sol in November 2015. Her body has never been found.

Spanish investigators previously said they believed a “violent episode” had taken place at her home in Guadiaro, near Gibraltar.

Corner, her yacht dealer boyfriend who is originally from Liverpool, fled after Lisa went missing.

He was tracked down in Denmark and extradited back in Spain in 2016.

Last April, he was released from prison on bail. It’s understood Corner had to sign in at a police station twice a month and surrender his passport. He posted £8365 in bail and was banned from leaving Spain.

Lisa’s brother, Craig Douglas, said the vanishing act proved Corner should not have been granted bail.

Craig, 48, also from Alexandria, told the Record: “This is someone with access to boats so taking away his passport won’t necessarily stop him leaving the country.

“We believe he should never have been granted bail but expect he’ll be found and brought back to prison.”
