First Lady incandescent after lawyer confirms Trump’s fling with porn star
DONALD Trump’s marriage was facing a fresh crisis last night after a porn star sued him over their alleged sexual affair.
Stormy Daniels has issued court proceedings against the US president, claiming that their nondisclosure agreement is null and void because he did not sign it.
The allegations have left 71-year-old Trump sleeping alone in the White House. His ex-model wife Melania, 47, is said to be contemplating leaving him after 13 years of marriage.
Attorney Michael Cohen paid Daniels £94,000 days before the 2016 election to ensure she would not speak about her “intimate” relationship with Trump.
The porn star, 38, accuses Cohen in court papers of continuing to bully her to keep quiet about the 2006 affair, said to have begun shortly after Melania gave birth to Trump’s son Barron.
White House sources say the lawsuit has left the First Lady “incandescent with anger”.
Yesterday, when asked whether his client had a sexual relationship with thenbusinessman Trump, Daniels’ attorney Michael Avenatti responded: “Yes.”
A source said: “Melania is no fool. She is a highly intelligent woman who makes up her own mind. The mounting accusations are taking their toll.” In recent weeks, Melania has refused to travel in the same car as the president and refuses to hold his hand when he tries to take hers in public.
Daniels – star of 150 porn films, including Dirty Deeds and Good Will Humping – filed her lawsuit in Los Angeles in her real name, Stephanie Clifford.
In it, Avenatti says of the hush agreement: “To be clear, the attempts to intimidate Ms Clifford into silence and ‘shut her up’ in order to ‘protect Mr Trump’ continue unabated.”
He added on NBC’s Today show in the US: “There’s no question the president knew about it at the time.”
The White House said: “These are old, recycled reports which were strongly denied prior to the election.”
