A QUICK LEARNER
Singer Jake is revealed as Dancing on Ice winner
JAKE Quickenden was last night crowned Dancing on Ice champion.
The X Factor singer and his professional partner Vanessa Bauer were stunned when hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield revealed the results.
The 29-year-old topped the vote by viewers to take the title ahead of Corrie’s Brooke Vincent, 25, in second place and former Scotland rugby star Max Evans in third.
Jake almost collapsed in shock when he was named the winner. He was helped to his feet by Vanessa, 21, who gave him a big hug.
He said: “I can’t get my head around it.” And the former I’m a Celebrity contestant joked: “It might mean I don’t have to do another reality TV show now.”
Each couple skated their favourite routine and there was a special performance choreographed by Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.
Rugby ace Max, 34, missed out on performing a version of the ice legends’ famous Bolero routine after failing to make the final two in the contest.
Max said of his time on the show: “I can’t tell you what a special feeling this journey has been.
“The people I’ve met have been incredible.”
