We do talking on the pitch Brown

SCOTT BROWN says Celtic silenced the noisy neighbours by proving actions speak louder than words.

The inspirational Hoops skipper led his 10-man side to a famous Ibrox win – then twisted the knife into his rivals who last week cheered news of a cup draw against his club.

Brown said: “They talked all week and we just sat down. We did our talking on the park. We always do our talking on the park.

“Whether we win or we lose we always fight until the last minute. That’s happened a few times to us now. Whether there is 11 of us or 10 we have always that belief.

“There’s been a few wins here but this one is definitely up there.”

Celtic were forced to twice come from behind then fight out the final 34 minutes with 10 men after Jozo Simunovic saw red.

Brown – who helped his side go nine points clear at the top with a game in hand – insisted Celtic had the character and the quality to make it four wins in a row at Ibrox.

He said: “We’re definitely on a high. We always believe we can come here and get the three points and we did that today.

“Even though we went down to 10 men and it was hard, we dug deep. We’ve played with 10 men before and won.

“We need to believe in ourselves. We have top-quality players.

“That’s why the players are unbelievable. Tom’s goal, Odsonne’s goal and Moussa’s goal as well.

“But have we won the league now? No, no. There’s still a long, long way to go.”
