This can be everything from lying about your relationship status and liking images, to exchanging messages with someone else and hiding them from your partner.

According to research from NextLove, a dating site for divorced and single parents, as many as 24 per cent of us perceive liking an image on social media as infidelity because it indicates your partner is emotionally focused on someone outside of the relationship.
