SUPERSTAR couple Beyonce and Jay-Z are to play a joint concert at Hampden in June.

The pair made £68million on their first tour together, On the run, in 2014.

Now they plan to play 36 gigs on the OTR II tour.

BILLION dollar couple Jay-Z and Beyonce have announced a joint gig at Hampden Park on June 9.

It follows their first joint tour, On the Run, in 2014 which saw them perform six weeks of gigs that netted them £68million.

Last year, Forbes magazine listed them a billion dollar couple with Beyonce, 36, being worth £250million and Jay-Z, 48, on a whopping £580million.

The Live Nation announcement yesterday is part of a 10-year deal with the entertainment firm worth £140million. At the time, Jay-Z said in a statement: “For the next 10 years, we will continue redefining the live event landscape.”

The fruits of this will be the OTR II tour which kicks off in Cardiff on June 6, followed by Glasgow, Manchester on June 13 and London on June 15 before moving to mainland Europe and then North America. They will stop in 15 cities across the UK and Europe and 21 cities in North America.

No doubt they’ll bring their family along, which includes daughter Blue Ivy, five, and twins Rumi and Sir, who will turn one on the day they play Manchester.

It continues a vintage year for live acts in Scotland with Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Queen, Kendrick Lemar, Noel and Liam Gallagher and Van Morrison all performing.

Tickets for Jay-Z and Beyonce at Hampden go on sale on March 23.
