Limb hope for soldiers

INJURED soldiers could have their limbs saved by a pioneering new biomedical technique.

Developed by researchers at Strathclyde University, it will involve three stages including a “cooling sock” to preserve damaged tissue and a protective box for the limb.

Antique stolen

An antique naval chest worth £1000 has been stolen from a house in Dalbeattie, Dumfries and Galloway. The theft happened between March 3 and Saturday.
