I’ll go 1000 miles for Lions

-

RYAN HARDIE insists he is willing to make a mad 1000-mile dash back from Andorra and play in two games within 24 hours to boost Livingston’s play-off bid.

The on-loan Rangers striker is expected to be named in the Scotland Under-21 squad for the March 23 Euro qualifier – the day before the Lions travel to Queen of the South in the Championship.

Boss David Hopkin is desperate to have the 20-year-old available with the Championship Player of the Month for February having scored five goals in seven games since his January switch.

And, if called up, Hardie insists he will do all he can to get back in time to face Queens.

He said: “It’s always an honour being called up for your country at any age group. If I’m included I’ll go and play on the Friday and if I’m back on time I could play on Saturday.

“We’ll see what happens and what the timings are. I’m looking forward to it.”

Morton boss Jim Duffy is looking for a reaction from the 3-1 defeat to Falkirk.

He said: “We weren’t at the races from the first whistle and were sloppy. It’s about how the players react.”
