Cameron’s not ‘done’ with movies
SELMA Blair has hastily backtracked after jokingly suggesting her former co-star Cameron Diaz was retiring from acting.
The actress said in an interview that her friend was quitting showbiz, triggering a slew of news stories.
Blair, who co-starred with Diaz in 2002 comedy The Sweetest Thing, said: “I would have liked to do a sequel but Cameron’s retired from acting. She’s like, ‘I’m done.’”
But she later posted a message on Twitter explaining that she was only joking.
She wrote: “Breaking news. Guys please, I was making a joke in an interview. Cameron is not retiring from anything.
“And for more breaking news, I am now retiring from being Cameron Diaz’s spokesperson.”
