Lowest of the low
ON March 5, between 2.30pm and 3.30pm at the Linn Crematorium, Glasgow, a black clutch handbag was left in the ladies toilet.
It contained a sum of £600 in a clear money bag, not a purse, and an expensive bottle of perfume.
When we realised the bag was missing, we drove back to the crematorium and in the ladies toilet, the bag was found empty, stuffed behind a bin.
This money belonged to my grieving mum who had the £600 cash put aside to pay for the gathering after the funeral of my beloved dad.
I can’t believe that someone would steal while attending a crematorium. It was the lowest of the low and we hope the person responsible feels guilty for stealing from a pensioner.
My mum is extremely heartbroken over this disgusting act and it left her having to find extra cash that she didn’t have on a day that she had to say goodbye to her husband of 53 years.
