Let voters decide

DISGRACED MSP Mark McDonald says that he will serve the full term of this Scottish Parliament because that was what he was elected to do.

He overlooks the fact that the voters elected him as an SNP member, not an independent one.

By staying on, he is by failing to represent the SNP voters who elected him.

He should resign immediately and stand in a by-election. Then voters can decide if they want him to be re-elected or not. G. Cowie, Moray

THE voters of Aberdeen Donside should have the right to say that they do not want Mark McDonald to act on their behalf now, not in a couple of years when an election comes along.

It appears that it is not clear as to who the employer is when the workplace is a parliament, but how can this be the case when it is us, the taxpayers, who built it, own it, foot the bills for it and elected the people to run it?

It belongs to us and that being the case, we say that this man must go and if he refuses to resign, he should be sacked with no golden handshakes either.
